Artwork Requirements
We prefer that you send your artwork in a vector file. Vector files use co-ordinates to create shapes with points and lines. This file type maintains a high image quality at any size. These types of files are superior for imprinting logos on most products. Whereas raster files will blur as you increase their size to match the ideal image dimensions to place on your selected product(s).
Examples of the preferred file types are: CDR(Corel Draw), AI(Adobe Illustrator), EPS (from vector-based applications such as Illustrator). We can also accept PSD (Adobe Photoshop), 300 Dpi TIFF or JPEG files. PSD, TIFF, and JPEG files may be subject to a $15.00 re-format fee. We cannot accept faxes, copies, or images from the Internet.
Microsoft Office Files, e.g Docs, PPT (for text) or PUB (for graphics) is not acceptable for print and will require re-creating the text or image for production. The graphic artist's time to convert these files to vector format is billed at $25.00 per 1/2 hour.
After you have placed your order, an option is provided to upload your art files. If you don't have your art files at that time, you can also reply to the confirmation e-mail you receive and attach your artwork to the email. While we do accept emailed files, we encourage you use the upload tool on our website. Uploading is far more reliable and efficient than emailing. And, uploading the file does not subject you to a file size limitation that may be imposed by your internet service provider. This limit usually results in a file being undelivered. At Keane Promotional Products our goal is to keep you project moving as quickly as possible through production and delivery.
When images are taken from a website, they are typically around 72dpi. While this resolution works for websites; it is not a high enough resolution for printing purposes. Please make sure your resolution is 300 dpi or higher. You may also be violating copyright when using web images. The only exception would be if the image was purchased from a stock photo website.
We can offer PMS matching for most products. However there may be an additional charge for this service. On some products due to the limitations of the imprinting process, exact PMS matching isn't possible. Your representative will help you get as close as possible to your colors.
Shortly after placing your order and uploading your artwork you will receive an email (within normal business hours) from a representative. Your representative will review your order, make suggestions, confirm dates and review your artwork. Once the details are set and we have your approval, production will begin.
